Sex in the CT

We counted three references to Sex in the City in the Hartford Courant today and it's still pissing us off. Enough. ENOUGH. The show had its time and relevancy at one point, but it's OVER, no matter how many pink DVD boxed sets they're still trying to sell us.

Maybe it's just us, but isn't the "new" feminine cocktail culture just a tad demeaning as described in this article. And just tired. Although nothing says Girl Power more than a "fun and flirty" chick who's just drank 8 flaming fuschia martinis by herself at the bar and is still trying to get a cockatini down her throat before last call.

Also: if you're going to persist in writing about it at least get the facts right:
...during popular female-targeted programs such as "Sex and the City," the television show (inspired by [Carrie] Bradshaw's writings) that helped give rise to this fun, flirty drinking culture.
We're sure it's not the first time it's happened to Candace Bushnell.

On the other hand, it is nice to know where to pick up a "Rabbit" vibrator in a pinch. [ link ]

So there is a question I have been debating in my head for quite some time about the three major types of guys in the Hartford Metropolitan area--the jabronis, the hipsters, and the "Johnny Big Pants Wankers." If you had to, who would you fuck, who would you marry, and who would you kill?

In the one corner you have the "I love to work out and beat up women," "Time for a round of So-Co and Limes," "Is this your girlfriend? Cause I totally want to fuck her," Jabroni Knob Head.

In the other corner you have the cooler than cool, "I totally love myself," "Have you heard of that new band the Whatevers? Yeah, I didn’t think so," "I now live under the boardwalk on Coney Island, it is totally the new Williamsburg," Hipster tool.
